1. Description of Service

Caly is an AI-powered calorie and macronutrient tracking application that provides:

• AI-powered meal photo analysis for calorie estimation
• Barcode scanning for product nutritional data lookup
• Text-based meal description analysis
• Personalized calorie and macro goals based on your health profile
• Daily and weekly progress tracking

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use this App. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

3. User Account

The App does not require account creation. Your health profile and meal data are stored locally on your device. Subscription information is managed through your Apple ID and the App Store.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Free Trial

A free trial may be offered to new subscribers. If not canceled before the trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid plan.

4.2 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

4.3 Managing Subscriptions

All payments are processed through the Apple App Store. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings.

4.4 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

5. AI-Generated Content

Caly's food analysis is powered by artificial intelligence and provides estimates only.

• Calorie and macronutrient values are approximations, not exact measurements
• Results vary based on photo quality, portion size, and food recognition accuracy
• The App is not a medical device and does not provide medical or nutritional advice
• Do not rely solely on Caly for health decisions — consult a healthcare professional
• We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy or reliability of AI-generated data

6. Health Disclaimer

Caly is a general wellness tool, not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. If you have an eating disorder, a diet-affected medical condition, or are pregnant or nursing, consult your healthcare provider before using the App. Extreme calorie restriction based on App estimates may be harmful.

7. Permitted Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You shall not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Use the App to transmit harmful, illegal, or offensive content
• Attempt to bypass or circumvent any premium feature restrictions
• Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the App
• Use the App for any commercial purpose

8. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Caly and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. Third-Party Services

Caly uses third-party services including OpenAI (AI food analysis), Open Food Facts (barcode lookup), and Apple StoreKit (payments). Your use of the App is also subject to their respective terms and policies.

10. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without any warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data or damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated nutritional estimates.

11. Termination

You may stop using Caly at any time by deleting the App.

We may suspend or terminate access for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Illegal activity
• Abuse of the service

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide notice through the App. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
